WHO WE ARE

Anchorage’s first “unpackaged” mom-and-mom old-world refillery market. We provide convenient eco-friendly grocery, household and personal care choices for conscious consumers who wish to minimize waste, shop locally, give back and eliminate single-use plastics. A community-centered social enterprise, we give 1% back every day and feature locally made products.

TRANSPARENT

We do the research so you don’t have to! We are transparent about who our vendors are and how our products are made. We vet and label all of our products, and rate them based on our Blue Market Standard of sustainable, humanitarian, community-minded practices.
We are also honest about the waste that we can’t avoid.

SUSTAINABLE

The Anchorage Park Foundation builds Healthy Parks & Healthy People by mobilizing public support and financial resources for Anchorage parks, trails, and recreation opportunities.
Every dollar raised by the Anchorage Park Foundation supports Anchorage parks and trails and programs. Programs include Outdoor School in Parks and Youth Employment in Parks - a 10-week summer program that employs Anchorage teens to complete park improvement projects. The program is designed to positively engage a new generation of diverse young leaders as conservation stewards of public lands through meaningful job training, employment, and education. Learn more.
We partner with the Native Village of Eklutna on the Indigenous Place Names Project, to bring Dena’ina place names and sculptures to parks and trails. Learn more.
We organize events to get outside in nature, including concerts in neighborhood parks, writing in parks and volunteer events to improve community gardens, beat back invasive plants, improve trails and more. Join us!  Learn more
Our annual event is called the Moose Loop Trail Challenge that celebrates the world-class urban trails that loop around the city of Anchorage in the shape of a moose! Sign up today.

  • Summer Concerts in the Parks Series

VISION: The people of Anchorage recognize parks are vital for community health and connectivity, and demonstrate a strong park stewardship ethic.
  • Parks provide access to outdoor recreation opportunities; support healthy lifestyles; and sustain clean water, land, and natural habitat, which in turn attract businesses and visitors, and increase prosperity for a healthy economy.
  • Parks and trails connect neighborhoods, offer connection to the natural environment, and connect the community to each other through place, special events, cultural festivities, recreation and fun.
  • Anchorage residents recognize the importance of parks and trails in their lives and to their community, and they take responsibility for our community assets with investments of time, individual and corporate contributions, and tax dollars.
  • Anchorage residents benefit from a healthy park system and recreation opportunities available to all, regardless of where they live, income, ethnicity, or special needs.
