Our Annual Membership is good for one calendar year, from January 1 - December 31. NOTE Memberships are prorated each quarter!
Why Become a Blue Market AK member?
From the beginning, Jen and Jess wanted our little "refillery" grocery store to be a community-centered social enterprise. Although we considered being a Cooperative grocery market, we discovered that we could get the business up and running quicker if we created an LLC. So we decided to start as a retail grocery establishment, however we wanted it to feel like a coop. (And who knows, maybe some day we will become a Coop.)
In an effort to acknowledge our most frequent shoppers, and to give folks a way to contribute "to the cause," we established our Membership Program right from the beginning, providing 10% off every time members shop as well as other small gestures of gratitude like schwag and members-only quarterly specials. In 2024, we added the benefit of members being able to pre-order larger quantities of items for a 20% discount.
Although membership in our store is NOT required to shop here, purchasing an annual membership helps us grow and evolve in addition to giving members some sweet perks. Membership is a way of supporting our cause to promote conscious consumerism, and to create a world where millions of people practice minimizing waste and reducing plastic consumption at their own pace and level.
